Description The Tali Mahaganapathi temple, located in Ongallur panchayath, Ottappalam, Palakkad, Kerala, is one of the 32 Tali temples in Kerala. A Tali temple is essentially a Shiva temple built under royal patronage. The Tali Mahaganapathi Temple is also known as Ganapathy Kavu, has two main deities: Lord Shiva, facing east, and Lord Ganesha, facing south.
Festivals: Ongallur Thail Maha Ganapathy Temple is observed in Kumbham month every year. raditional performing arts, such as music and dance are staged during the period. Caparisoned elephants, melam, fireworks and Sheevali are part of the festival.
The temple is traditionally decorated with plantain, coconut leaves, flowers, leaves, traditional lamps and lights.
