Significance: Achamkulangara Temple is one of the seven Shiva temples in Thrissur, located in a quiet inward area. The mantra “Aum Namah Shivaya” can be heard from speakers inside, playing in a peaceful tone. Apart from the famous Vadakkunathan temple, Punkunnam Shiva temple and many more, the Achamkulangara Shiva Temple is another in the list of well known Shiva temples in Thrissur. Believed by many, the deity here is presumed to be very powerful and wish fulfilling. The Achamkulangara Shiva Temple has a history of over a century and is a reputed and ancient centre of worship of devotees in Kerala.
